What is A2B4C?

Australia Square to Bennelong Point for Cancer (the long way round!)

Commencing in 29th May 2009, CCIA Ambassador Craig Goozee will embark on a 12,500km marathon the entire way around Australia.

Using a combination of running, cycling and ocean paddling, Craig will make his way around the continent through some of Australia’s most beautiful yet harshest terrain.

Sharks, crocodiles, severe weather conditions and physical exhaustion are just a few of the challenges that Craig will face on a day to day basis.

The journey which is expected to take approximately 95 days to complete and will be the ultimate test of physical endurance.

My name is Paul Nichol a friend just told me about your adventure, and i read a little bit about your journey and watched some videos,
good on ya, ‘as I’m sure you get allot of it,
it kind of makes me a bit emotional to see the movies of you with your support crew, i can imagine how much it means to you to have a support crew, i cycled around Australia last year on my own and it was pretty dam hard and lonely,

when are you coming through vic, how will you be traveling and what route will you take, do you need anywhere to stay and be fed in Melbourne? and would you like me to join you for a bit as you come in and or out of Melbourne, depending on what i’m up too, but if you want some company hopefully i’m free, but i probably wont be as fast as you,
or do you have a pretty set itinerary?

    6 more questions

    where did you start?
how far do you go in a day?
how many tires have you been through?
how many punctures have you had?
how long has it taken you

ok i’ll stop , i’m just kidding with those last few,

dont go nuts on the way to port headland like i did, few.

    all the best,

    Paul

  4. Hi Paul, Glad to see that you are following our progress. I will be in Victoria mid- august. We do have things arranged regarding functions and fundraisers but these can change. I don’t stick to any main plans but decide on the day whether i ride run or paddle. It depends on distance requried and weather. Stay watching and perhaps we may see u in Melbourne.
    Cheers

    • Hi Geoff, Coming up the NSW coast via Canberra and unfortunatley won’t get too close to dubbo. I was out there three years ago as the keynote speaker for Australia Day and loved the town.

  6. hey craig,

I’ve been thinking of you since I heard of your situation on random acts of kindness, but have just looked into the website.I wanted to say how much i am proud of you as an australian and as a man who has chosen to fight for his child, and for other people’s children in such a manner. Good luck, and i hope that you achieve your goal, not just for all children, but for yourself also.

    Thank you,

    Rebecca

  7. Thanks Rebecca, I appreciate your kind words and will push on to finish this journey.
